FDA Suggests Only Small Businesses in Bankruptcy May Qualify for Device Establishment Fee Waivers

The FDA is gearing up to implement its new authority to waive the annual medical device establishment registration fees owed by small businesses for which paying the fee would be a financial hardship. The agency may waive the registration fees beginning Oct. 1, but it is suggesting that only small businesses that are in active bankruptcy may qualify for the waivers.
