A Massachusetts-based medical device manufacturer and its parent company have agreed to pay $700,000 to resolve allegations that they violated the federal False Claims Act by knowingly causing physicians to use incorrect Medicare and Medicaid billing codes to obtain inflated reimbursements from the two health insurance programs.
